International Nurses Day is celebrated on the 12th of May every year worldwide, it is also the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. Nightingale is well known for doing late-night rounds and giving personal care to her patients. It however was her efforts in formalising education in nursing that she is well known for which led to the establishment of the first science-based nursing school and the foundation of nursing as it is today.
Vacenti took the opportunity on International Nurses Day to recognise the amazing work Nurses contribute to keeping us all and the wider community healthy. Nurses are the bedrock and foundation of our healthcare system, and we acknowledged the dedication of service to our communities by holding celebrations at each facility.
Our Team Leaders work tirelessly for residents and families and are also exemplary in their leadership of our teams across all facilities. We are proud of our Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and Assistants in Nursing and Vacenti thank our amazing team who provide the very best care to our Residents who call Vacenti home.
Thank you, Team! You are an amazing part of our Staff here and we appreciate you and all you do.
